Tasting Notes
This red blend showcases the best of Columbia Valley, starting with an alluring bouquet of
blackberry, dark cherry, and subtle floral notes. The palate reveals layers of black currant,
plum, and a hint of mocha, complemented by a refined oak influence from the 20 months in
once-used French barrels. The finish is long and velvety, with well-integrated tannins and a
touch of spice.
Winemaking
The core of this wine is driven by Cabernet Sauvignon from French Creek Vineyard. The vines
were planted in 1991 and are tended by viticulturist, Damon LaLonde. The Red Bench is our
flagship wine, and we choose only our best barrels for this blend. The “Red Bench”, which
resides in our tasting room, is where Jim and Andrea lovingly corrected their children when
they were misbehaving.
Food Pairing
This red blend pairs beautifully with grilled ribeye steak, with its bold flavors matching the
wine's richness. Roasted pork loin complements the blend's dark fruit and mocha notes. For a
vegetarian option, try a rich vegetable stew to highlight the wine’s complex layers.
