Tasting Notes

The v6 Stadium Red opens with inviting aromas of ripe blackcurrant, dark cherry, and plum, layered with hints of dried herbs, cedar, and a touch of graphite. On the palate, these rich fruit flavors are mirrored, with blackberry, cassis, and red currant complemented by notes of mocha, tobacco leaf, and a whisper of vanilla. The wine’s silky texture, well-rounded tannins, and vibrant acidity create a harmonious balance and elegant finish with lingering dark fruits.

Winemaking

The wine is a beautifully balanced blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Merlot, sourced from Elerding Vineyard in Prosser, and Mattawa Vineyard (now Charlotte’s Ridge) in Mattawa. Aged for 20 months in neutral French oak barrels, this wine showcases a harmonious integration of fruit, structure, and subtle oak influence. Additionally, Dahlman Cellars donates 10% of the profits from this wine to a woman in technology scholarship at Stadium High School.
