Tasting Notes
This red blend offers a vibrant bouquet of blackcurrant, ripe plum, and subtle violet. On the
palate, layers of dark cherry and blackberry are complemented by hints of graphite, cedar,
and baking spice. The wine is structured yet supple, with fine-grained tannins and a lingering
finish that showcases both the power and elegance of its varietals.
Winemaking
The core of this wine is driven by Cabernet Sauvignon from some of our best vineyard
sources, finished with a powerful Cabernet Franc from Red Mountaion. The Red Bench is our
flagship wine, and we choose only our best barrels for this blend. The “Red Bench”, which
resides in our tasting room, is where Jim and Andrea lovingly corrected their children when
they were misbehaving.
Food Pairing
This red blend pairs beautifully with richly flavored dishes. Consider serving it alongside
grilled ribeye steak, roast lamb with rosemary, or braised short ribs, as the wine’s structure
and tannins complement hearty meats. It also works well with aged cheeses like sharp
cheddar or gouda and can elevate dishes featuring earthy mushrooms or roasted root
vegetables.
